Romantic Vintage Weddings

Happy Friday! Today is all about going back in time... It's a vintage-themed wedding! As my favorite saying goes, "Everything old is new again." Vintage trends are everywhere, not only in weddings, but fashion and decor. Accessorize your vintage wedding with our decorative butterflies which would match a rustic, vintage color scheme perfectly.

When we say "vintage," we usually refer to the 1940s-1970s time period. A vintage wedding could be a whole theme or a simple wedding with a few vintage details. Here are some ideas you could use:

- Accessories: You could add vintage pieces you or your relatives might have. Clocks, lamps and vases are popular vintage pieces that could be incorporated as a centerpiece. You could also pin vintage brooches to your invites or seating cards. Sentimental vintage items personalizes the wedding and makes it more meaningful.

- Outfit: A simple up-do accompanied with a bird cage veil is a great vintage look. As for the wedding dress, you could consider using your mom's wedding dress. Now that is truly vintage! If you don't have access to one, or think it's too much of a hassle to restyle an old dress, you could always go for a dress with lace details. Click here for the "lace trend" blog post.

- Budget: Apart from being a great theme, vintage weddings could also be significantly cheaper. You could easily find cute vintage items in thrift stores such as GoodWill for only a fraction of the price. Or you could have fun raiding your mom's attic for that old wedding dress and other accessories. It would be a great bonding activity for the whole family as you take a walk down memory lane.

If you are planning a vintage wedding, or already had one, please share your ideas on the comment box below. We would love to hear them! Have a great weekend!
